September 26th Downward Dog in Depth

In this class we will explore and refine key points and details of body alignment in this very popular asana. We will learn to elongate the spine, open the shoulders, and free the pelvis to lengthen the hamstrings. Downward dog is one of the most beneficial postures for the whole body. Lots of fun, all levels of experience welcome.


November 7th Shoulderstands for Everyone

Shoulderstand is one of the most accessible of the inverted postures, with many benefits. These include improving circulation, digestion, and elimination, as well as relief from fatigue and insomnia. It calms the mind and has a soothing and energizing effect on the body. We will explore both simplified variations for the beginner, as well as the full pose in detail for the more experienced student.

December 5th Backbends for a Healthy Spine

In this class we will focus on various backbends to create strength and flexibility in the whole spine. We will explore proper skeletal alignment, use of the deep abdominal core, and how to relax the low back and open the chest. We will learn variations appropriate for all levels of experience. Everyone is welcome.

Drop-in rate: $45 per class
