Summer Series


Summer 6-week series: 
Monday, July 8th through Saturday, August 24th

There will be no classes on Saturday, July 27th due to the benefit retreat I will be teaching at Tahoma One Drop Zen Monastery on Whidbey Island.

Monday, August 19th & Wednesday, August 21st will be extra classes in series, to make up the Saturday missed for retreat.They will be discounted drop -in @ $15 per class, or you can use them to make up missed classes during Summer series.

Six week series rates
    1x per week.....$95
  2x per week......$155

   3x per week....$195

             unlimited.............$240

      Drop-ins welcome @ $20 per class


Class schedule:

Monday eve: 6 - 7:15pm Integrated Yoga studies (all levels)

Wednesday morning: 8 - 9 am  Zen Meditation & Qi Gong
         (no experience necessary)....open to all....no fee

               9:15 -10:15am  Feldenkrais Method 
      (Awareness through movement) gentle....open to all

            10:30 - 11:45am Integrated Yoga studies (all levels)

 Saturday morning: 9:30 - 10:30am Feldenkrais Method
        (Awareness through movement) gentle....open to all

 10:45am - 12noon Integrated Yoga studies (combined levels)
 (some previous Yoga/movement experience recommended)

Summer Qi Gong classes

Series continues......
Sunday mornings 10am-12noon
July 14 and August 11, 2013                       
  
Subtle and deep, it can be practiced by people of all ages and activity levels with many health benefits. In this continuing series of 2-hour classes we will focus on learning Qi Gong movements that are particularly helpful to support our bodies in rhythm with the current season. We will continue to review and refine Qi Gong movements previously learned as well 
as introduce new material to expand our repertoire. You are welcome to join in even if you have not attended previous session.
Classes are held @ Soma Yoga studio, 1423 NW 70th St.

Beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome
Drop-ins welcome

$40 per workshop

Garden Qi Gong, hosted by Celia at her garden studio in Magnolia

It is wonderful to practice outdoors in nature when weather permits. I thought for Summer we could try something different and practice outside. This studio opens out into the garden, so we can practice under a cover if weather is not optimal……. and still be open to the outdoors!

Saturday, July 27th
     7:00 - 8:00 am   Meditation (2 periods of 25 minutes)
     8:15                   Breakfast
     9:30 - 11:00       Qi Gong (open to everyone)
     11:00 - 11:30     Tea / snack break
     11:30 - 1:30       Yoga (all levels)
     1:30                    Lunch & Break
     3:30 - 4:30          Group Walk in Nature
     5:00 - 6:00          Feldenkrais (ATM)
     6: 30                   Dinner & Movie
Sunday, July 28th
     8:00 - 9:00 am    Zazenkai (2 periods of zazen, 25 minutes each; 20 minutes of Qi        Gong between)
     9:00                    Tea / snack break
     10:30 - 11:30      Feldenkrais (open to everyone)
     11:30 - 1:00        Yoga (all levels)
     1:30                    Lunch, finish

     There is no experience necessary to participate in Qi Gong or Feldenkrais.  Both are gentle modalities appropriate to people of all ages and activity levels.  The Yoga classes will be mixed, open to all levels of experience.

     Delicious Vegetarian meals and snacks will be created by the Seattle ODZ Sangha with an emphasis on Fresh, Organic, and Healthy!  Sleeping accommodations will be dormitory style or outside camping, with toilets and shower close by.

     Dairin Zenji (Assistant Abbot at Tahoma) will be leading Zazen meditation.

     Suggested donation for the whole weekend is $200 - $400.  Please donate as you are able.  100% of all donations will go to Tahoma Zen Monastery which is a 501 (3) (c) not-for-profit organization, all donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.  Tahoma Zen Monastery is dedicated to bring Traditional Rinzai Zen Buddhism to the Northwest.
